Mandatory and additional training

It is expected that over the duration of a 4 year apprenticeship, apprentices will be trained in the following:

  • Working Safely at Heights (Probation - 1 day)
  • Yellow Card Scissor and Boom Lift under 11 metres (Probation - 1 day)
  • Annual Safety Training (1 day)
  • Perform rescue from a live LV panel and CPR (18 month & 30 month marks of apprenticeship - 1 day)
  • Checking and Testing an Electrical Installation (40 month mark of apprenticeship - 1 day)

Programmable Logic Controllers Training

We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to participate in further training on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), at our sister organisation CET Joondalup, on the following dates:

  • 15 to 23 April, 2024
  • 19 to 27 August, 2024

To complete this course, you will need to have all of your woklogs up to date, as well have completed the following:

  • UEECD0007 - Apply work health and safety regulations, codes, and proactices in the workplace;
  • UEEEL0005 - Develop and connect electrical control circuits;

Please note, the course fee will only be paid in the event you successfully complete the course.Failure to complete, notify, and/or attend all days of this course will result in your being invoiced all charges.

And, you will be required to use your RDO's and/or annual leave to attend this additional training. Please ensure you submit a leave request via the timesheet portal - and instructions on how to submit your leave request are available here.
