EGT Apprentice Ryan Gusterson selected for TSTL

Third year EGT apprentice Ryan Gusterson has been selected from 25,000 apprentices to be one of only 16 attendees at Group Training Australia Today's Skills; Tomorrow's Leaders leadership and career development program at the Australian Institute of Sport in August 2016.

The five day program is in its 13th year maximising leadership and career development. It is also an excellent showcase for the high quality of apprenticeships and traineeships conducted through group training.

The TSTL program will be officially launched by GTA Patron, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia at Government House on Tuesday 30 August.

Career development and leadership training will be conducted at the Australian Institute of Sport by Ian Hutchinson from Life by Design.

Participants will get to interact with elite athletes from the AIS, and will spend a day at Parliament House where they will meet parliamentarians and discuss their responsibilities, achievements and leadership motivations.

The Chair of Group Training Australia (GTA) Mr Stuart Diepeveen said the program provides a unique opportunity for some of the country’s most promising apprentices and trainees to extend their leadership abilities. “All those selected show enormous potential to become leaders in their fields. It is a real honour to be selected for the program and I’m sure that we will be hearing much more of their achievements in the years ahead,” he said.
