Apprenticeship Course Fees Information

Fees

The College of Electrical Training attracts the same financial support from the State Government as any other Registered Training Organisation ensuring there is no cost disadvantage to employers or apprentices.

Fee reductions are available for apprentices who are able to provide an approved concession at enrolment.

Learners enrolled in full-time courses are eligible to apply for financial support for Australian Apprenticeships through Centrelink.

Fee Waiver

Fees may be waived for individual apprentices who are able to demonstrate that payment of fees would produce financial hardship.

Waiving of fees covering “Financial Hardship” is in accordance with the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development guidelines.

All fees must be paid prior to course commencement. Below fees are determined by the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development:

Non-concession learner $1.62 per nominal hour
Concession learner $0.48 per nominal hour

UEE33020
Non-concession learner $3.25 per nominal hour
Concession learner $0.97 per nominal hour

The maximum course fee for non-concession learners undertaking a targeted fee relief course in 2024 is $1,200. For concession learners and youth, the maximum course fee for undertaking a targeted fee relief course in 2024 is $400. These maximums apply per course in 2024.

For secondary school-aged persons not enrolled at school, the maximum course fee chargeable in 2024 is $420. The maximum is the total fee for all courses the learner is enrolled in.

The learner tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment.

Additional fees may apply such as learner service and resource fees.


Concession Fees

Learners meeting one or more of the following criteria are eligible for concession fees:

  • Persons who have reached the age of 15 but who have not reached 18 years of age, and who are not due to reach 18 years of age in the calendar year for which they enrol.
  • Persons and dependants of persons holding a Pensioner Concession Card
  • Persons and dependants of persons holding a Repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Persons and dependants of persons holding a Health Care Card
  • Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY
  • Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of the Youth Allowance 
  • Persons and dependants of persons who are inmates of a custodial institution
  • Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of services from the Commonwealth’s ParentsNext program
  • Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of services from the Commonwealth's Workforce Australia program
