A Role Designed for Impact
The Host Services Officer will play a central role in driving the promotion of EGT’s services. Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Assisting in the design and implementation of attraction strategies and retention plans to boost host employer engagement.
- Service Innovation: Identifying opportunities to develop new services for host employers and enhancing existing offerings.
- Relationship Building: Promoting EGT's benefits to potential host employers while fostering and managing relationships to increase apprentice placements.
- Administrative Excellence: Managing the complete host employer sign-up process—ranging from safety assessments and credit checks to documentation collection.
- Data-Driven Improvements: Providing critical feedback and data analysis on trends, helping to continuously refine and elevate EGT’s service offerings.
- Marketing & Events: Collaborating with the marketing team to ensure promotional materials hit the mark, and actively participating in a variety of business development and promotional events including employment expos, school events, and sports events.
What It Takes to Succeed
To thrive in this role, candidates must exhibit exceptional autonomy in field work and demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Highly developed customer service abilities, along with excellent organizational and time management skills, are also essential.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- A current C Class Driver’s License.
- Extensive experience in customer management.
Desirable Attributes:
- A Certificate III in Work Health and Safety—or a willingness to earn it.
- Experience within the electrical or construction sectors.
- Familiarity with a GTO environment or a background in apprenticeships.
