New improvements to the EGT Timesheet and Payroll Portal.

Following feedback from both host employers and apprentices, EGT has been diligently working on improvements to the EGT Timesheet and Payroll Portal.

Currently, all hosts who serve as timesheet and leave approvers lack visibility into their apprentices' leave schedules, making it challenging to manage apprentices effectively and plan workloads. 

The new Scheduler tab (shown below) offers enhanced functionality, allowing hosts to filter leave information by employee, leave type, and approval status. This tab also provides the flexibility to view schedules on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, making it easier for hosts to manage and plan workloads effectively. By using these filters, hosts can gain better insights into leave patterns and ensure optimal workforce management. 


 

Leave approvers are now able to display the approved leave for future and previous month. This feature is particularly helpful when managing multiple apprentices, as it offers a clear and visual overview.

Another great feature of the upgraded portal is the ability to filter for submitted timesheets and directly click on the leave request to approve it.  As a bonus, hosts can now view the current leave balance of the apprentice (below), a feature previously unavailable. Please note- the current leave balance is displayed as of the date you click on the leave request, accounting for leave that has been processed and paid. However, it does not include other leave requests that have been submitted and approved but not yet taken or paid.
